Fire Wings began in 2016 when founder Long Trinh opened the first restaurant in California, later expanding the concept through early licensing.
In 2017, Billy Phong and his brother-in-law, Chris Sy, became the first Fire Wings licensees and quickly grew their own portfolio of restaurants. After years of working alongside Long and seeing the potential of its simple menu and bold flavor lineup, Billy acquired the brand with Chris in 2025.
