Fire Wings began in 2016 under founder Long Trinh, whose bold flavors and fresh-breaded wings sparked early excitement across California. When Billy Phong and his brother-in-law, Chris Sy, became the first licensees in 2017, they immediately connected with the simplicity of the model, the energy of the Fire Wings brand, and the potential of a community-driven chicken wings restaurant built on global flavor variety.
Over the next several years, they expanded their own portfolio of licensed restaurants, gaining deep hands-on experience with operations, team culture, and what makes Fire Wings resonate with guests.
In 2025, Billy and Chris acquired the brand, moving from passionate operators to the leadership team guiding Fire Wings into its next chapter. Today, Billy leads franchise development while Chris oversees operations and training, working together to help entrepreneurs build thriving chicken wings restaurant locations root
